The Battle for the Bubble Wrap

     Story
The initial thought process was that two guys (Travis and Sean) fighting over bubble wrap and would convert gravity for every time a bubble on the wrap is popped until a random bystander (Noah) and pops the remaining bubble wrap and the two people fall in oblivion due to gravitational change.

Scrapped Concepts and Production
For where we were going to shoot, we were originally going to use the practice gym as our location. However, 6th hour Weights class and 7th Hour Cheerleading class had other plans during our production time. As a result, the team and I decided to use the Debate hallway that connected the practice gym. Most of the ideas we had for the project were either altered or scrapped entirely like when I had an idea that the two who were fighting for the bubble wrap would fall through the door as a trapdoor towards the end of the product, this was scrapped because it would have required the use of the practice gym and also due to lighting issues with the hallway.

Here are some early storyboards of both the stop-motion and live-action segments:

Here is the early rough animations of what would become the initial premise:

Learning Experience
Seeing as how we had to get an aerial view in order to properly show that gravity was altered after the conflict was set up, the team and I decided to use one of the cranes the one of us had; it took a while to set up the crane but we eventually got it to work for our likings. As for learning experiences as a team, we were given specific roles by Sam such as Ian running the camera, Travis and Sean being the two people fighting over the bubble wrap and me being the guy at the end.

Here are examples from our photo shooting process:

Final Thoughts

Despite my only major contributions to the project was helping out set up the crane and being at the end of the product, I felt that the final product ended decently well. The only major things I would say that we should have worked on better was the lighting on the hallway and maybe some of the editing when rendering the final product mainly due to me feeling that one scene dragged on for slightly too long. Thought I would keep the music playing the same as it seems to fit well. What I will do with these learning experiences is that I could become a writer for the projects and present some good concepts for projects in the future. Overall, I felt the project was decent, If there were some edits here and there, it would be better.
